Established in 2020, the Vocational Training Centre operates under the Tong‑Len Charitable Trust as part of its broader educational mission. The centre was initially launched with a 6‑month electrician training program for 15 students in October 2020, with support from the Fontana Foundation. It now offers two certified vocational streams: Electrician (household wiring and appliance repair), which is NSDC-approved and NIOS-affiliated, and Tailoring. Both courses are completely free of charge and include tuition and bus fare support. To date, over 120 students (70 electricians and 50 tailors) have successfully completed their training and are now engaged in employment, running small businesses, or working from home—an initiative that has been especially impactful for women. Recently, a driving school was also added to further expand career opportunities. The centre currently has around 40 students enrolled, with 25 in the electrician course and 15 in tailoring.
