PEJKS (Paryavaran Evam Jan Kalyan Samiti), founded in 2000 and registered under the Societies Registration Act, is a voluntary organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for underprivileged and socioeconomically deprived communities in Uttarakhand. With a strong focus on both environmental sustainability and social welfare, PEJKS works in diverse areas such as health and hygiene, sanitation, family welfare, HIV/AIDS awareness, child development, quality education, women and youth empowerment, natural resource management, livelihood skill training, and community awareness. The organization follows a grassroots approach by actively engaging local communities, forming self-help groups, collaborating with corporates for CSR initiatives, and conducting block-level training for Panchayati Raj institutions and grassroots workers. Through its sustainable development programs and advocacy, PEJKS envisions a just, equitable, environmentally sound, and self-reliant society.
